This possible obituary will require more research, but it gives me another state to look at. I also need to see if this is a married name, in which case, this isn't Mom's half-sister.

Frances E. Mitchell - Frank's first child
Well, I seem to have found Clara Margaret [Frank's first wife] & Frances [his first child] in a 1930 census in Evanston, Illinois. Clara is listed as a maid and Frances is her daughter. The years match & the fact that Clara was born in Austria matches the other records I have. It's a good clue because I now have Frances' middle initial and a record of both their existence after Frank & Clara parted ways.
More will be revealed, I'm sure.

1920 Census - Charter Oak Township, Charter Oak, Iowa
Wow! Clara Margaret Mitchell was his wife! 1920 Census showed his wife's name - she was from Austria. He was from Scotland. Lists his occupation as Veterinarian. They had a daughter - Francis. She was 6 months old in 1920. Wow...
He was 34 - shows birthdate of 1886 but draft card shows 1885; Clara was 25, so born in 1895?
He immigrated in 1902. She immigrated in 1904.

Frank's Draft Card
Frank's draft card - click on it to enlarge it. I'm going to try to get a better picture. [I think it shows his mother's name: Clara Margaret Mitchell.]
He was 33 in 1918. Date of birth was January 10, 1885. I believe he was a naturalized citizen, born in Scotland, we think. Grandma called him My Scot.
